Tiki? What's this?
Tiki art reminds more about the Hawaii life, the culture with the Don Tiki- a dance style- which is suppossed the most volcano of exotica , the color of the whole pictures of Tiki remind the wild life of Tazan. And as Wikipedia, this culture come from the love of American on exotic culture in the South Pacific, and then the design style began to be influenced by Tiki, the view of exotic life. Plus, the music has Afro-Cuban rhythms of natural wild environmenal sound, enjoynable, romantic and relaxing themes, it all create a Don-Tiki music.
What's the main figure on Tiki Art? I got a holy feeling when first looking at the faces with carving features on wooden statues. The distored form of the face, like big mouse, long face, scary teeth, distored eyes... they all build the art in Art, that's TIKI. That's my opinion.

FALL IN LOVE WITH A MASTER?

It sounds interesting, and as I knew I fell in love with bamboo, so would it exist any bamboo artist? See the link what I found:

It's quite interesting to see the tiny instrument displayed on table. The bamboo artist Takafumi Tanimura, japanese, 49 years old, is as clever as any Asians. His special is carving figures on bamboo to produce the tiny things like , in the pictures aboved.

Abstraction and Reduction

The site www.noreign.com is a Flash web which conclude many interesting interactive. The most attractive to me here is their abstraction and reduction which create meaning of the site.
Even though the site look simple indeed, but “Less is more”. The designer was successful in creating this dynamic site, which is thought easy to navigate. But, to break the rule of standard website to build a new one with the new kind of media like Flash is not that easy to think of. The idea come up but still keep the concept of design and e the feeling of being in an air force environs quite interesting, using sound and cards game to create the interface, very impressive.
As analyzed in Experience Design, every design element from the general style to color usage has some connection with the “world won’t wait”. The Clock working fastly underlined the time passing quickly, and it represents for the time the life or the world keeps going on, never wait. The designer used metaphor method to illustrate that idea.
The music machine keep moving when it’s turned “on” by clicking on the button next to it. This dynamic image also give the idea of the running, the passing of the world and it also symbolize the content of the piece of site is “music” is now on. This is another kind of abstraction in expressionism.
Finally yet importantly, each time when moving over one of the pieces of the site, viewers can see the animated text appeared in black and white background like a film in the 1950s. It might be an illustration of time, relationship between the past and the current, combine with the future. Future here can be thought as the new media. Those all give the keep going on of the world in the content of the entire site.

Is Lady in the Water a Floater?

Am more interested in articles of Culture issues. And this tittle sounds cool " Is Lasy in The Water a Floater ? " . It's a movie's title, and have you ever thought of what make a film a film? what make it interesting to audience? I sometimes have some ideas, and a lot of imagination, but can not make it come true, can not write a book, can not create a film or expressing exactly my feeling or thinking about it. This article remind me about this problem when I read over the last line " How can you make a $75 million movie about water nymphs without showing them in the water?" ...so, need to figure out.

Living Well Is the Best Revenge

This is the tittle of the article I feel quite interested in. As Tony Long has thought of " there's got to be a place left in the world where a man can be reflective rather than reactive, where mellow is the coin of the realm", it's a most wonderful time to live for yourself with no respectful working , enjoy the life, profit all what the world is giving to you. When we are born , grow and then die, what will leave on here? I have no idea, sometime I asked myself where will we go after stop breathing? a little bit confuse, a little bit worry , as many people think it's too stupid...oh yes, that is... but why you dont answer me that question? Will I live forever? or What will be in the next 50 years ? So, what's the revenge for? Again, no idea ... Still wars in few part of the world, and ? Just stop it.
